You are invited to the School of Physical Sciences Information Day for 2008. This year our information days will take place on the 28 - 31 August 2008.

Come and meet our current PhD Students, possible supervisors, visit our internationally renowned research laboratories and discover your scholarship options. Best of all, we'll pay for you to visit UQ from anywhere in Australia and New Zealand.

What will I do?

The programme of events includes a mix of social and academic activities. Last years Physics itinerary is available as an indication of what you can expect. This years itinerary will be available very shortly.

What will the trip include?

• Your return flights from within Australia or New Zealand
• Your accommodation at a hotel close to UQ
• Dinner on Thursday Night

What Financial Assistance is available to help me study at UQ?

At The University of Queensland you can apply for an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) or University of Queensland Research

Scholarship (UQRS) any day of the year. If you find a project that suits you, we will provide assistance with preparing your application for an Australian Postgraduate Award which carries an annual stipend. The award is available to Australian and New Zealand citizens, and Australian permanent residents with a Class I Honours.

How do I apply?

To apply to attend our Postgraduate Information Day 2008 complete the relevant application form. For students who live in Brisbane please complete the local student application form. For students who live outside of Brisbane, interstate or in New Zealand please complete the other Australian and New Zealand application form.

Application close 25th July 2008.
